Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This statement sets out the steps that SuisseVault have taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its supply chains and in other parts of its business.

By definition, Modern slavery is constituted in the UK’s Modern Slavery Act (2015) by the offences of slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking.

Our Business

We are a leading online UK Bullion Dealer, based in the London, UK. SuisseVault was launched to offer private UK investors a straightforward and secure way to buy bullion at low margins ideal for investment.

Our Policies and Ethos

SuisseVault recognises that it has a responsibility to take a robust approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and the organisation is absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its operations and supply chains.

SuisseVault does not permit, condone or otherwise accept any form of slavery and/or human trafficking, as defined in Section 54(1) of the UK’s Modern Slavery Act (2015) by its employees, subcontractors, contractors, agents, partners or any other organization, entity, body, business or individual with whom we engage or do business.

We encourage all our employees, customers and other business partners to report to the SuisseVault,

Risk in Our Supply Chain

SuisseVault only trades, transports and stores bullion with commercial entities who are members of The Independent Precious Metals Authority (LBMA).  By trading exclusively with LBMA member bullion banks in the form of London Good Delivery (LGD) bars, SuisseVault ensures that all newly-made gold, silver and platinum bullion which its customers buy and sell meet today’s strictest standards for due diligence, ethics and human rights in the precious metals supply chain.

We have established a broad policy approach to reflect our commitment to principles-based behaviour and delivering on societal and operational responsibilities. In our standard terms with suppliers, we require suppliers to confirm they have not committed an offence under anti-slavery laws, are not under investigation for such an offence, are not aware of circumstances in their supply chain that could give rise to an anti-slavery offence and have effective controls in place to ensure compliance with anti-slavery laws.

Risk Assessment and Management

We know that maintaining high standards of conduct is not achieved solely by good intentions.  It is achieved by clarity in articulating our mission and values to both our employees and stakeholders. We abide by the following core commitments:

  • We are committed to honestytransparency, and fair dealing;
  • We ensure business activity aligns with the interests of all stakeholders: clients, employees, and parties with whom we interact; and
  • We strive to model best practice in all areas of our business. We do not violate legal obligations.

All customers are subject to customer due diligence procedures as part of the client onboarding process and all existing customers are also subject to periodic screening. SuisseVault’s Anti Money Laundering (AML) policy and due diligence procedures are in line with the UK’s Money Laundering and Transfer of Funds (Information) (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations (2019).

SuisseVaults’s Anti-slavery Policy is refreshed annually and its integration into the business is supported by mandatory training for all staff to ensure that employees are aware of and understand the content.
